Spoon Carving Workshop

Spend an afternoon at Art Bloc Sausalito learning the art of Japanese spoon carving. Hosted by Aaron, a longtime woodworker and trained spoon carver, this hands-on class invites you to slow down, work with your hands, and walk away with a kitchen utensil you carved yourself.

You'll start with an introduction to the tools, learn traditional Japanese carving techniques passed down through generations, then design and shape your own spoon using professional carving tools. The class wraps with sanding and oiling, so your finished piece is ready to take home and use.

Expect a relaxed, social atmosphere with snacks, beverages, and good conversation. No experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to make something with your hands.
